Caution

Just a quick post to inform everyone to be careful if they wake Aurora up from sleep.

The other morning she not only hit me in the face but she felt around for my nose and gave it a thorough pinch before letting go to flail some more. All with her eyes squeezed shut and whines emanating, too.

More Zoo Train

Here is Aurora on the zoo train a couple of weekends ago, checking out the bamboo.

I wish I had more time to do fun things with her. I love that she has amazing caregivers that I trust, but every time I hear that she's done something new with someone else, I feel sad that I missed it.

Well, maybe she'll have her first elephant ear with me when we go to the zoo next. That's something you can't shake a stick at.

Green Baby

Who loves broccoli?

At least, who loves broccoli when there's nothing else to eat?

Smacky!

Don't Mess with Us

I think the cracker crumbs on her lips diminish the tough look on Aurora's face as she prepares to kick butt on the subway yesterday.

Maybe she was just remembering riding the BART in October because surely there are no ruffians on the zoo train, which is where we REALLY were, unless you count that cheeky squirrel.

Little Pink Baby

What a sunny few days we had last week! (or was it week before last?)
It was warm enough to dress Aurora in her summer duds even at 7am before taking her to Sarah and Demitri's. Here is Aurora at the park with them, enjoying some sun on the way to the library.
She's working on her base tan so she doesn't burn when it REALLY get sunny out.
(Thanks to Gary's sister, one of Aurora's adorable Auntie Lauries, for the headband.)

Hello, Friend!

Aurora's babysitter and photographer extraordinaire took some photos of smacky this week.

Isn't she genial?

Take Your Baby to Work Day

Aurora's babysitter's son has the flu, so Aurora and Gary are staying home today, taking walks, playing, drinking milk and working.

Gary's teaching Aurora his skilz, so I may come home to a revamped computer network and a new terabyte backup system for my desktop, all installed by my brilliant Junior Sys-Admin Aurora Luna.

Probably not, but a girl can dream.

Aurora got off the couch herself this morning, Gary reported. What a clever baby! I'm glad she's decided to go down feet first now instead of head first. It's much less stressful on everyone that way.
