Typety Type

Aurora got into my chair and positioned herself at the keyboard on Saturday, so when I turned around, I found her industriously typing away.

It looks like she's messing with the firewall or something. Luckily she wasn't changing my facebook status again! I'd much rather be open to viruses than have erroneous information on my whereabouts and activities posted! God forbid!

Sleepy Smacky

Aurora was so tired this morning that she awoke at 6:30 for some water and then went back to sleep DESPITE A LEAKY DIAPER.

I know she was super tired because she usually can't sleep with a wet diaper. She even stayed asleep when I turned the light on and took this shot. Even kisses and sniffing at her face didn't wake her up! Maybe she'll take another long nap today at daycare. Oh yeah.

Aurora and Arlo on a Friday

I found a bow I never used on Aurora when she was tiny, and surprisingly, she didn't rip it off right away!

Arlo snuck up behind her to mug, and since she can see the image on my phone as I take the photo, it held her attention. Looks like she's teething since she's chewing on her finger. Those little teeth sure are sharp!

Taters for the Tot

I made twice-baked potatoes last week at Arlo's suggestion- mmm, bacon, sour cream and cheese.

A normal sized one would have been way too big for Aurora, so I bought a tiny white potato and made her a mini.

Here she is, holding the skin. Is it edible? Who cares, there's a camera!

Secret Smile

Friday was Aurora's 18 month doctor visit. We played with Granny in the waiting room and the exam room, the doctor wasn't too late, and the shots weren' terrible. (Not for me, that is- Aurora cried and wailed during the actual poking but stopped fairly quickly afterwards.)

I gave her a little dog in a bag as a special bravery present and she went on to have a very fun day at Granny and Grandpa's. Here she is pre-immunization. So innocent. So happy. Either that or she's planning something disastrous for her diaper. Who can tell?

Salon Style

You may think it cruel to put the spotlight on a sleeping baby, but sometimes it's necessary for posterity.

Smacky's been having long cleansing, moisturizing and relaxing salon sessions at Granny's house. This mostly includes soaping up in the bath, secretly pouring water on Granny's sleeves and generally splashing about noisily.

Obviously it leaves her so relaxed that she sleeps like the dead, but it also leaves her hair baby-soft and as fluffy as a chick. Check it out.

I Hop for Breakfast

My mom and I and Smack went out to a fancy breakfast a while ago. No greasy spoon diner for us, thank you! Aurora got crayons and an activity page to keep her busy at THIS place.

There was a baby about Aurora's age at another table, so she enjoyed looking over at him, which helped keep her interest. Luckily there was no shrieking back and forth. 8am is simply too early for shrieking, Aurora.
